Ok.. I only get the NEW icon image when I log out or leave and someone else posts.. but the new icon doesn't show for me right after I post. I guess because there is no MARK ALL READ option, you have to leave and come back to get the icon.. that is if someone posts.

You will never get a "new icon" to show after "you" make a post. This is common among Forum scripts as the idea is, you don't need notice of a "new" posting, since "you" were the one to make it.
