Okay, I'm also new to the forum and having trouble with the w3 validation.

I'm getting like 39 errors pointing to "no attribute given". I am new to web design, and my home page has html, js, php, and css. I set the page as

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">

and

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">

I'm guessing I'm having a conflict in using css for some "tables" and HTML for others.

My site is redstickhackers.com

any help appreciated

Be Warned, i am new, so don't clown if its messy

If you're serious about getting your Web pages to meet current coding Standards then you should visit http://htmlhelp.com . You can run your HTML and CSS through their Validators and use the links supplied in the output, to learn more about specific errors.

I would also suggest you change the following:

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">

&nbsp; to

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1">

Once you've got your errors down to a managable level it will be easier to provide help on specific problems you cannot figure out.
