hiya , i am getting a lot more spam than normal, so i have set up a few more Email Filters in my Control Panel, but the filters dont seem to be working at all, how long does it take for these filters to kick in please, is it a few hours or days ?, i would have thought the effect would have been immediate ?.

The effects are immediate. Odds are the Filter is not working the way you want.

I find it best to use the Filter "Any Header" when setting one up. Could also be the Spam is one of the newer type which is "Image Spam" and works a bit different.

Filter: Any Header
that: contains

Those are the two settings I use the most. If the Spam you are trying to block is still getting through, download one and confirm the part you are keying on is the same as what you think it is.
