Earlier today whilst trying to solve one problem, the usual WHM update was done to make sure all things needed by WHM/cPanel were there. To my surprize, a forced upgrade was done: moving from cPanel 10 to 11.

If your Nameservers use "potentproducts.com" then this applies to you. Here's what you need to know.

I don't know all the changes that have been made but a big one is to do with Webmail. You will not be able to browse all your Mailboxes from one login anymore and NeoMail is toast. I only mention NeoMail for those that manually installed it as we have not provided it for over 2 years now.

You may find that today or the next time you download eMail onto your computer that duplicates will occur. This will only happen the first time you download new eMail, since the update earlier today. Should be no changes as far as Sending eMail.

With regard to the eMail sent last week to Clients on the main Server, the PHP upgrade did not go smoothly at all. Currently PHP 4.4.7 is being used and another attempt will be made for upgrading to v5.x. It was in trying to solve this problem that the WHM update was done and moving to cPanel 11 was not something I wanted to do at this time. We're stuck with it now though, as to go back to v10 would cause even more problems.

Please post any problems you may be having or send an eMail to Support, if of a more personal or security related nature. We don't want people providing valid eMail addresses or logins, on a Publicly available Web page.

As part of the cPanel 11 upgrade there are changes required to the Mailboxes of all Hosting accounts. This can take some time to complete and in the meantime, you will not be able to access new eMail. Any new eMail is saved and will be available to you when the eMail portion of the update is complete.

Estimated completion is 10 AM MT Tues. morning.

It is unfortunate that the creators of cPanel do not see fit to give any option for the upgrade (yes or no) or at the very least, provide information on what needs to be done and what can be expected -- before the upgrade is initiated. Be that as it may, what's done is done and things should soon be back to normal.

The eMail update has now completed.

Although you can once again receive new eMails, it may take up to 6 hrs. (approx. 2:30 PM MT) before eMails sent to you yesterday / this morning, will be available for download.
